It brings back memories of my mother’s whimsical garden back home in India. Her garden consists of mixing random flower seeds together and scattering them throughout to create a beautiful patch of colorful flowers, thus creating an endless array of flower varieties. The Smara or the “memory of the garden”, filled with vivid petals striking against a bright background is gracefully translated to silhouettes adorned with embroidered bejeweled botanical motifs.
